- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My wife has arthritis, so she needed some rings sized up. She had a silver ring with a fairly detailed band enlarged, and Purple Mountain Jewelry did a beautiful job on it. I thought I had founded my new and reliable jewelry store, so I decided to bring them her platinum Tiffany's band. They literally ruined it. They over-polished it and ground down the sides ruining it's original design. They offered to design a similar ring and sell it to me at their cost. Sorry, but you don't replace something 'at cost' that has sentimental value. My wife still wears the ring, but it still upsets me that a professional jeweler with 30 years experience could be so incompetent. Even more upsetting was the fact that the jeweler (who was in the shop) never came out to talk to me; he let the sales person attempt to solve the problem. I really should have insisted they replace the ring. I will never walk back into their store, nor will I recommend Purple Mountain Jewelry to anyone.By Eric Sandberg, June 03, 2017
